Job summary

Allied Universal in Albuquerque, NM is seeking an Armed Security Officer to provide high-quality protective services for a high-profile client. Responsibilities include armed patrols, access control, CCTV and alarm monitoring, and incident reporting.

Requires 1+ year of armed security or related experience, 21+ years of age, and an armed guard license. CPR/AED, First Aid, and firearms qualifications are required or obtainable. Excellent communication with customers and staff is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current driver's license if driving a company or customer owned vehicle.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Must possess, or be able to obtain, CPR/AED and First Aid from the AHA or ARC; firearms qualifications; NWDTP certification; OC, Baton and handcuffing certification; defensive tactics and de-escalation training.
• Minimum of two (2) years of armed security experience or military/law enforcement experience.
• Minimum age 21 years; ability to operate radios/monitors; strong written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to interact cordially with the public; strong observation and reporting skills.
• Multilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the facility is provided with high-quality security services to protect people and property.
• Build, improve and maintain relationships with client employees and guests.
• Report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances verbally and in writing.
• Handle security issues and emergencies according to protocol.
• Follow site-specific directives, manuals, and post orders.
• Greet visitors and employees; answer questions and assist as needed.
• _patrol the facility on foot or in a vehicle.
• Answer phones, monitor CCTV systems and alarms.
