Courses: 5180 Natural Resources, 7117 Principles of Agriculture, 5008 Animal Science, 5088 Agricultural Power and Structures, 5056 Introduction to Agriculture and Food Resources, and 5102 Food Science
Teacher qualifications and experience will be taken into consideration when choosing course offerings in the future.
Required Qualifications: REPA/REPA 3 - CTE: Agriculture 5-12 - Workplace Specialist in related course approved for a CTE pathway (Being Dual Credit qualified or the ability to be DC qualified is preferred. CJSHS is partnered with Ivy Tech to offer DC to our agricultural students.)
Primary Responsibilities:
Salary: Based upon experience and qualifications
Contract: 185 days [+20 extended days & stipend]
About Churubusco Jr-Sr High School:
CJSHS is a grade 6-12 building with an enrollment of 633 students, and 33 teachers. Our school is a part of the Smith-Green Community School corporation located in both Whitley and Noble counties and within the city limits of Churubusco, Indiana. CJSHS is proud of the variety of course offerings and extracurricular activities we are able to offer our students in spite of our smaller size. Our school is proud of our over 90% graduation rate and the completion rate for graduation pathways.
About Churubusco, Indiana:
Churubusco is a rural town in northeast Indiana nestled in the corner of Whitley County about 15 minutes from the city of Fort Wayne. In November 1847 a post office was approved by the federal government and the Town of Churubusco, Indiana establishing the town.
As of 2010 the population was estimated at 1,796 with a total 706 households.
Churubusco takes great pride in a 60-acre park that rivals most in northeast Indiana. Amenities such as lighted basketball & tennis courts, numerous baseball & softball diamonds and a state of the art Splash Pad. (Source: Churubusco - About Us website)
