Job summary

Goodwill Easterseals Miami Valley is seeking a full-time Activity & Personal Care Aide in Beavercreek, OH. You will support participants in daily activities, safeguarding safety, dignity, and independence while encouraging participation in living skills and routines.

Responsibilities include assisting with programming, self-help skills, transportation, meals, logs, and daily attendance, while maintaining confidentiality and complying with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret safety rules and instructions.
• Ability to work cohesively within a team and show care to participants.
• Able to follow through with projects in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff in following through with programming for participants and assess needs.
• Assist in providing appropriate self-help skills as needed.
• Assist in transportation, bathroom and lunch transitions as needed.
• Assist in ordering participants meals and maintain special diet/needs listing.
• Assist with maintenance of required charts/logs.
• Assist in general cleaning of activity/program areas.
• Assist in providing social, recreational, and therapeutic activities.
• Assist with daily attendance and van rosters to ensure completion.
• Assist in scheduling transportation.
• Maintain safe and secure environment for participants.
• Maintain confidentiality and privacy of participants and families.
• Attend workshops and trainings; comply with agency safety standards.
• Comply with policies and safety regulations per CARF/OSHA requirements.
