Job summary

Aventura at Oakwood Village is hiring an Activities Assistant to support residents with engaging recreation and social programs on a daily basis. You will help plan, promote, and document activities that stimulate mind and body while fostering community.

Ideal candidates are pleasant, outgoing, and reliable, with teamwork mindset and the ability to multitask; weekend availability is required. Prior long-term care exposure is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED.
• Pleasant and outgoing personality.
• Flexible and able to multitask.
• Must work every other weekend.
• Past long-term care experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist in activities with the residents.
• Plan and promote recreation programs to stimulate mind and body.
• Provide input into monthly recreation services.
• Document resident attendance and participation.
• Write progress notes.
• Attend care plan meetings as appropriate.
