Position Summary
The Activity Aide assists with planning and leading engaging activities that promote socialization, creativity, physical movement, and overall resident well-being. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, patient, dependable, and enjoys building positive relationships with residents.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with planning and facilitating daily activities and recreational programs for residents.
- Encourage resident participation while respecting individual interests, abilities, and preferences.
- Organize activities such as arts and crafts, games, music, exercise, entertainment, social events, and holiday celebrations.
- Assist residents with participating in activities when needed.
- Help create a welcoming and enjoyable environment for residents.
- Build positive relationships with residents and encourage social interaction.
- Assist with decorating activity areas and preparing materials and supplies.
- Maintain activity areas and supplies in a clean, safe, and organized manner.
- Document resident participation and provide feedback to the Activities Director.
- Work collaboratively with nursing and other departments to support resident needs.
- Follow all facility policies, safety procedures, and infection-control guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience working as an Activity Aide in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) is required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creative, energetic, and able to engage residents in a variety of activities.
- Patient, compassionate, and dependable.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Must be able to interact respectfully with residents, families, and staff.
