Job summary

Signature HealthCARE invites you to join our ACTIVE Activities Department as a Full-time Activities Assistant. This role focuses on delivering resident-centered activities, in-room options, and calendar planning to meet social, emotional and therapeutic needs.

We value teamwork and compassionate care, with opportunities to engage the community and align events with state standards. CNA certification is preferred but not required, and previous healthcare experience is welcomed.

Qualifications

• Previous Activities/Healthcare Experience preferred, but not required.
• CNA Preferred, but not required.
• Skilled at working with individuals who have cognitive, physical or sensory disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in activities to meet social, emotional, physical and other therapeutic needs of residents.
• Assist in initiation and promotion of activities within and outside the facility.
• Provide in-room activities for residents unable to attend daily events.
• Assist in creating an ongoing calendar of activities.
• Consistently meet State Standards for activity scheduling and documentation.
• Solicit community involvement when planning activities and events.
