Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer Full Time Badge Authorization in Wilmington, DE to manage site access, verify credentials, monitor entry points, and support a welcoming, controlled environment for employees and visitors. Position is full time with evening shifts.

Minimum six months security experience and a high school diploma required; background check and drug screening will be conducted as per law.

Qualifications

• At least six months of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen required as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and emergency response activities.
• Verify identification, credentials, visitor authorizations, and contractor access requirements before entry to controlled areas.
• Monitor access points, gates, and visitor management systems; maintain logs of entries, exits, deliveries, and unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and access-control concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, facility grounds, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized access.
