Job description

Job Title: Academic General Pediatrician

The Division of Academic General Pediatrics at the Children's Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM) is seeking a full-time academic general pediatrician to join our division. Responsibilities include providing pediatric ambulatory care to children and adolescents, newborn nursery coverage, supervision and teaching of residents and medical students, and participation in quality/performance improvement initiatives. Candidates should be board certified/eligible in Pediatrics, possess outstanding clinical skills, have experience in medical education or demonstrated scholarship, and demonstrate an ongoing commitment to research (clinical, health services/outcomes, community-based participatory research, or implementation science). The successful candidate will receive an academic appointment at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, with academic rank commensurate with experience.

About CHAM: CHAM is a 192-bed nationally renowned academic children's hospital providing inpatient, outpatient, and emergency care for children and adolescents. It is affiliated with the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and part of the Montefiore Health System in New York.

About Jack D. Weiler Hospital & Montefiore Wakefield Campus: The Jack D. Weiler Hospital is a 403-bed hospital with a level 4 NICU delivering approximately 3300 infants annually. The Montefiore Wakefield Campus includes a 234-bed hospital with a level 3 NICU delivering about 1200 infants per year.

Division Overview: The Division comprises physicians, nurse practitioners, social scientists, psychologists, social workers, and staff. Our clinical sites are patient-centered medical homes with integrated mental health services, serving as primary training sites for pediatric residents, including a federally qualified health center. Our faculty are actively engaged in medical education, quality improvement, and research focusing on social determinants of health, mental health, asthma, obesity, healthcare transitions, adolescent health, environmental health, and children with medical complexity.

We offer a competitive salary range of $175,000-$210,000, commensurate with academic rank, with potential for clinical productivity incentives and bonuses.
