Full time 12 month position.

Minimuum Starting Wage: With 0 years of experirence $17.00 / hr

Maximum Starting Wage With 30 years of experirnce $2.67 / hr

To provide students with a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean, and efficient place in which to learn, play, and develop.

General Qualifications:

• High school diploma
• Successful previous experience as a custodian within RCS and/or comparable experience elsewhere
• Demonstrated aptitude and/or competence for assigned responsibilities
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

Staff member will effectively perform the following duties in a timely manner:

Performance Responsibilities:

• Keep building and premises, including sidewalks, driveways, and play areas neat and clean at all times.
• See to the regulation of heat, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to provide temperatures appropriate to the season, and to insure economical usage of fuel, water, and electricity.
• Shovel, plow, and sand walks, driveways, parking areas, and steps as necessary, and in those areas which are not addressed by the maintenance personnel.
• Check daily to insure all exit doors are open and all panic bars are working properly during the hours when students are in attendance.
• Sweep classrooms daily and dust furniture.
