Job summary

Providence St. Joseph Hospital Eureka is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the Medical Surgical unit in Eureka, CA. This Full Time night-shift role provides direct bedside care, including hygiene, data collection, vital signs, I&O, and documentation.

Under RN supervision, you will assist with ADLs and respond to emergencies. Preferred candidates hold Nursing Assistant certification; BLS certification is required within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• Upon hire: Nursing Assistant certification.
• Acute care or specialty experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine bedside patient care.
• Collect data, monitor vital signs, and record I&O.
• Assist with activities of daily living and use of medical equipment.
• Document care on the medical record and respond to call lights.
• Recognize and respond to emergencies.
