Job summary

Intuitive Surgical, Inc. is seeking a Full Stack Web Development Engineer to design, enhance and maintain internal web apps and standalone Python applications. You will own both front-end and back-end development, working with FastAPI, Vue.js, Red Hat Linux, and MS SQL Server, with a move toward cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and Snowflake.

The role demands strong technical leadership, problem solving, and collaboration across teams, in a fully onsite environment at our Sunnyvale campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or Engineering.
• 3+ years of industry experience as a full stack web developer.
• Expert in Object Oriented Python, JavaScript, Node.js, SQL.
• Test-driven development.
• Full stack front-end & back-end web application development.
• Must have experience with application architecture design.
• HTML5, CSS, jquery, Ajax, Flask, FastAPI, Vue.js.
• Microsoft SQL server, SQL database.
• Web technologies such as RESTful APIs, JSON, WebSocket, sockets.
• Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Snowflake.
• Git version control.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, enhance and maintain internal websites, web applications and stand-alone Python applications.
• Full stack capability is required; design and implement both the front-end UI and back-end application and database.
• Front-end is FastAPI and Vue 3; back-end is Red Hat Linux and Microsoft SQL Server; migrating to cloud-based solutions like AWS, Azure, Snowflake.
