Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, web development, information technology, or a related field AND two years of relevant front- and back-end website development experience including Linux server operating systems, Apache, MySQL, MariaDB, SQL, HTML, HTML5, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, AJAX, Section 508/WCAG 2.1, and Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator.
• An equivalent combination of directly related education, professional certifications, and progressively responsible work experience will be considered.
• Must have relevant front- and back-end experience with an open-source content management system
• Strong background in website design and development
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized

Responsibilities

• Understands and supports the college's mission, vision, and values and complies with government and accrediting regulations.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to design, create, and implement websites and web-based applications that support marketing strategies.
• Develops and supports relational databases, custom web applications, and related scripts.
• Adds, updates, and removes content on college websites.
• Develops performant, responsive page layouts.
• Provides consultation, training, and technical support to faculty and staff on web development, content management, and publishing best practices.
• Designs and implements web graphics, visual elements, and user interfaces aligned with branding and UX standards.
• Ensures accessibility compliance with Section 508 / WCAG 2.1.
• Implements and manages SEO, web analytics, and related tools to measure digital engagement.
