Job summary

Areti Group is hiring two Senior API Developers to join a high-growth, Tech for Good SaaS business going through a pivotal scale phase. You will design and build core APIs, modernise legacy PHP/Symfony code to Go, and help shape a platform ready for international expansion.

The role is fully remote, with one monthly meetup and travel fully expensed. You’ll work with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD, tackling performance, reliability and architecture decisions while delivering high-quality

What You’ll Be Working With

What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing and building high-quality APIs and backend services
• Helping transition legacy functionality from PHP / Symfony into Go
• Building technology capable of supporting rapid growth and international expansion
• Working with modern AWS cloud infrastructure
• Working across Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD
• Using logs, metrics and monitoring to continuously improve production systems
• Building clean, maintainable and well-tested software
• Solving performance, scalability and reliability challenges
• Contributing to architecture and technical direction
• Reviewing code and sharing knowledge with other engineers
• Improving engineering practices and developer experience
• Using modern AI development tools to improve the way software is built

We’re interested in experienced:

You’ll ideally bring:

• Strong commercial software engineering experience
• Excellent API and backend engineering knowledge
• Experience with AWS or modern cloud environments
• Understanding of scalable and service-based architectures
• Strong automated testing and software quality practices
• Experience working in modern Agile engineering teams
• Confidence contributing to technical and architectural discussions
• Experience modernising or evolving existing technology would be hugely valuable
• A pragmatic, collaborative approach to engineering

It’s Genuinely Remote

All required travel for the monthly meetup is fully expensed.
