Job summary

STraffic America seeks a Software Engineer II (Full-Stack) in Vienna, VA to design, build, and maintain scalable web applications using React, TypeScript, Spring Boot, and PostgreSQL. You will own front-end and back-end tasks, implement RESTful APIs, and contribute to CI/CD and cloud deployments in an Agile, DevOps environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3–5 years of full-stack software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Spring Boot, HTML, CSS.
• Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
• Experience with Git-based version control (GitLab).
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services and deployment environments.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Front-End Development: Develop and maintain responsive web apps using React and TypeScript, translate designs, implement client-side logic, and collaborate with UI/UX teams.
• Back-End Development: Design and maintain RESTful APIs and server-side apps with Spring Boot; model databases and use PostgreSQL; utilize ORM frameworks.
• DevOps & Cloud Operations: Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines, deploy to AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, ECS), monitor with Prometheus/Grafana, and improve development workflows.
• Collaboration & Documentation: Participate in Agile ceremonies; work with cross-functional teams; create technical docs and architecture diagrams; coordinate with US and Korean teams.
