Job summary

Elastic, the Search AI Company, is seeking a Software Engineer II for the Web Engineering team. You will own meaningful parts of the experience, building features, systems, and infrastructure to keep the site fast, reliable, and scalable. A full-stack engineer comfortable with React components, backend services, and production ownership is ideal.

You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to ship features that improve site quality and performance in a distributed, async-first environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a full-stack or frontend role with TypeScript and React depth.
• Hands-on backend experience shipping and operating production services.
• Experience owning CI/CD pipelines end-to-end (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.).
• Knowledge of building for high availability and security at scale.

Responsibilities

• Own features across the full stack from component design to deployment pipelines.
• Instrument client-side performance and backend logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, dashboards.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to ship features for elastic.co.
• Write clean, maintainable code and own its production behavior.
• Triage and resolve security vulnerability reports from reproduction to disclosure.
• Participate in code reviews for your team.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues and participate in on-call rotation.
