Job summary

IGT seeks a Software Development Engineer II (Full Stack) to design, develop, and support scalable software that enables business growth. You will own features across the full lifecycle, collaborating with global teams and leveraging AI-assisted tools to improve productivity and quality.

3–5 years of hands-on experience with Node.js, Angular, TypeScript, and SQL Server, plus RESTful APIs and microservices. This on-site role emphasizes secure coding, testing, and robust documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3–5 years of full-stack development experience across front-end, back-end and database layers.
• Proficiency in Node.js REST API development with Express.js/KOA, Angular, TypeScript, HTML5/CSS, and RESTful API design.
• Strong SQL Server proficiency with T-SQL, stored procedures, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Experience with API design, microservices architecture, and third-party API integrations.
• Experience with automated testing (unit/integration/e2e) and CI/CD.
• Knowledge of secure development (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT) and OWASP principles.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability.
• Proficiency with Git and Azure DevOps; familiarity with modern DevOps workflows.
• Strong documentation practice for stories, designs, APIs, and runbooks.
• Experience collaborating across global teams using Agile methodologies and time-zone coordination.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software across front-end, back-end, and database layers.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, QA, DevOps, and stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions.
• Contribute to architecture, API design, and platform enhancements for scalability and maintainability.
• Develop RESTful APIs, microservices, SQL Server databases, and system integrations.
• Ensure security and quality via secure coding, automated testing, reviews, and CI/CD.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement improvements.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and own features end-to-end.
• Create technical documentation for stories, spikes, designs, APIs, and runbooks.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to boost productivity and code quality while following standards.
• Continuously evaluate emerging technologies to improve product quality and team efficiency.
