Job summary

Western Governors University is seeking a Software Engineer II to contribute to web applications and services in an Agile environment. You will research, design, develop, test, and implement software components and collaborate with clients, project managers, and staff.

You will work in Agile teams, deliver features on time, write maintainable code, and participate in code reviews. The role requires experience with Java/Spring Boot or Node.js, TypeScript, Angular, REST/XML, and secure engineering

Qualifications

Proficiency in building web applications and services with Java/Spring Boot and/or Node.js, TypeScript/JavaScript, and Angular.
Experience with web services and integration: REST, SOAP/SOA, XML, JSON, and SSO (SAML/OAuth2/OIDC).
Ability to design features and integrations that meet security, scalability, and reliability requirements.
Comfort with secure engineering practices and accessibility considerations.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain web applications and services using Java/Spring Boot, Node.js, TypeScript, Angular, REST, XML, and HTTP.
Independently deliver features on time; write maintainable code and tests; participate in design/code reviews.
Build and support integrations with third-party products (ServiceNow, Salesforce, Nuxeo/Hyland DAM).
Contribute to performance, stability, and reliability of 24x7 systems; participate in on-call rotations.
Follow CI/CD processes; gather requirements and ensure security and accessibility requirements are met.
