Job summary

Vertafore, headquartered in Denver, Colorado, is seeking a Software Engineer II to build features across the MGA products platform and deliver reliable, maintainable software.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, translate business needs into AI-enabled workflows using Python, and contribute to design, testing, and documentation.

Ideal candidates have 2-3 years Python web frameworks, Vue 3, RESTful APIs, Docker, Agile, and an interest in generative AI; travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of professional experience with python web frameworks – Django or similar technology.
• 2+ years of experience with Vue 3 or similar reactive JS framework.
• 2+ years of experience with Restful APIs required.
• Experience working with Docker and Docker Compose.
• Experience in Agile environment required.
• Demonstrated interest or practical exposure to generative AI, large language models, or AI-enabled software development.

Responsibilities

• Develop features across frontend and backend technologies.
• Design, build, test, and support AI-enabled product features using Python-based AI frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business problems into practical solutions.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues across the application stack and contribute to code reviews.
