Job summary

Amazon GameLift Streams in Seattle is seeking an experienced full-stack software engineer to own end-to-end feature development, maintenance, and operational excellence for the service. You will design and build features spanning web experiences to backend services and cloud infrastructure using TypeScript, Java, Kotlin, Go, Rust, and Python.

You will collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Senior Engineers to deliver customer-focused solutions in a fast-paced, highly collaborative

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of full stack development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience in one or more front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, etc.
• Experience with service-oriented architecture and web services.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate features across the full stack, from web frontend to backend services and cloud infrastructure.
• Own features end-to-end from design through deployment, moving quickly to get capabilities into customers' hands.
• Participate in oncall rotations and drive operational improvements that drive efficiencies and increase reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UX, product, security, and partner service teams to define and deliver customer experiences.
• Participate in technical design and code reviews, providing meaningful feedback to peers.
• Mentor teammates and help onboard new engineers to team systems and processes.
