AI Robotics Startup in Watertown, MA is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to advance robot control through virtual reality. The role emphasizes ownership from day one and targets an early-career engineer who thrives on challenging technical systems.

You will build VR interfaces for teleoperation, develop real-time 3D visualization, and integrate frontend React with Python backend tooling. On-site work is required five days a week in Watertown.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Robotics, or a closely related technical field.
• 0-3 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong React skills.
• Strong Python skills.
• Experience with technically rigorous real-time or interactive systems.
• Familiarity with 3D graphics, rendering, visualization, or robotics.
• Exposure to technologies such as WebGL, Three.js, point clouds, GPU-accelerated graphics, VR/XR, game development, robotics or simulation.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve VR-based robot teleoperation interfaces.
• Develop real-time 3D perception and point cloud visualization.
• Map user movements in VR to physical robot movement.
• Build high-performance frontend applications using React.
• Develop backend, cloud, and robotics tooling using Python.

Our client, a fast-growing AI robotics startup, is hiring a Full Stack Software Engineer to help build the next generation of robot control through virtual reality.

This role is ideal for an early-career engineer who loves building challenging technical systems and wants significant ownership from day one.

What You'll Do

• Build and improve VR-based robot teleoperation interfaces
