Job summary

John Deere in Johnston, IA is seeking a Software Engineer to join an agile product team supporting Origination capabilities. You will plan work, write and test code, and deliver moderate to high complexity functionality.

This onsite role requires collaboration with scrum teams, service-based architectures, automated testing, CI/CD, and cloud services (AWS). A Bachelor’s degree is preferred; visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of full stack development experience with Java/Spring/React/Node/TypeScript.
• Experience with AWS cloud services (ECS, API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, S3).
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, DevOps, and software automation.
• Knowledge of service-based architectures including microservices and REST APIs.

Responsibilities

• Work on an agile product team to create and support Origination capabilities.
• Plan work, coordinate with others, write and test code for moderate to high complexity.
• Collaborate with scrum teams and product owners to refine software requirements.
• Design, develop, configure, test and deploy solutions of moderate to high complexity.
• Create automated unit and integration tests and maintain documentation.
• Provide production support for team products including integrations.
