Aquent Studios is hiring a Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team and enhance a critical customer-facing web application for Fortune 500 clients. The role emphasizes modern web technologies, cloud-native services, and a strong focus on user experience and maintainability.

Work is hybrid with several on-site days per month in the Dallas area. You will contribute to micro frontends, microservices, and scalable data operations while collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile

Qualifications

• Proficiency in ReactJS and TypeScript for modular UI components.
• Experience with micro frontends and microservices in cloud-native setups.
• Strong knowledge of NodeJS for RESTful APIs.
• Experience with CI/CD, GitHub Actions, and secure deployments.
• Familiar with AWS services and relational databases like PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities

• Support and enhance a customer-facing web application with ReactJS micro frontends and cloud-native backends.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and integrate features.
• Participate in Agile sprints, daily stand-ups, and planning sessions.
• Analyze requirements, design specs, and write tests for moderate functionality.
• Drive performance, quality, and cost improvements across the stack.
• Lead resolution of technical issues and provide production support within SLAs.
• Engage in upskilling and reskilling to meet evolving project needs.

Aquent Studios is seeking a talented Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team, partnering with a leading company in the manufacturing and technology sector. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact by enhancing a critical customer-facing web application, leveraging modern web technologies and cloud-native services. You will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, performant, and maintainable software solutions that directly influence user experience and business operations.

This is a hybrid role requiring several days or more a month of on-site presence in Dallas.

About the Role

As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will be at the forefront of developing and enhancing a sophisticated customer-facing web application. This role is deeply rooted in modern web technologies and cloud-native backend services, offering a dynamic environment where your contributions directly shape the user experience and system functionality. You'll be instrumental in maintaining and improving micro frontends, integrating with robust microservice architectures, and ensuring scalable data operations. This is a true full-stack position that encourages continuous learning and growth across both front-end and back-end disciplines, empowering you to expand your capabilities and expertise.

What You'll Do

• Support and enhance a customer-facing web application, focusing on ReactJS-based micro frontends and cloud-native backend services.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and integrate features, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, performant, and maintainable software.
• Work within an Agile environment, actively participating in two-week sprints, daily stand-ups, and contributing to sprint goals.
• Analyze requirements, prepare design specifications, and write and test code to deliver moderately complex functionality for key applications.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to performance, quality, and cost, applying specialized knowledge of engineering applications.
• Lead the resolution of medium to difficult technical issues and provide timely support for production issues in line with established service level agreements.
• Engage in upskilling and reskilling efforts to align with evolving project requirements and technological advancements.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong proficiency in ReactJS and TypeScript for building modular, reusable UI components and effective state management within a micro frontend architecture.
• Demonstrated experience designing and integrating independently deployable frontend modules to support scalable and maintainable UI systems.
• Solid understanding of NodeJS for building RESTful APIs and backend services in a microservices environment.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices, including automated build, test, and deployment pipelines; familiarity with GitHub Actions and advanced security practices.
• Ability to securely and efficiently consume and expose APIs across frontend and backend layers.
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing applications using AWS services such as ECS Fargate, Dynamo, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, and Terraform.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL or equivalent Relational Database systems.
• Knowledge of unit and integration testing tools like Jest, Vitest, RTL, and JUnit.
• Experience with automated testing tools such as Playwright.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Datadog or AWS CloudWatch for observability and debugging.
• Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments, utilizing tools like Jira and Confluence.

Compensation

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $50-60/hr. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
