Job summary

Gene by Gene is seeking a Software Developer to join our team at myDNA. You will help design and develop WebAPIs and business integration software, leveraging modern frameworks and cloud-native patterns to build scalable solutions for genetic testing and analytics.

You will work on both backend and frontend components, collaborating with users and stakeholders to convert requirements into reliable software products while emphasizing security, performance, and maintainability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Deep expertise in C#, .NET Core and modern frontend frameworks (Angular/React)
• Experience with RESTful Web APIs and SQL databases
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and ORMs like Dapper/EF
• Experience with CI/CD, microservices and cloud-native patterns
• Knowledge of serverless computing and IaC tooling

We are looking for a passionate Software Developer to join our team at myDNA. As a Software Developer, you will be an integral part of developing our systems by designing, and developing WebAPIs and business integration software. A strong background in software development will provide a basis for success.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• Independently develops solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; creates functional and balanced solutions for business problems by utilizing clean code and appropriate design patterns.
• Strong communication skills to ask questions, seek requirements, and convey knowledge on technical and complex topics.
• Determines operational feasibility by evaluating analyses, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and integrating existing solutions.
• Clear understanding of system architecture and software design principles/patterns with an emphasis on maximizing usability.
• Protects operations by keeping information confidential and prioritizing security of the application.
• Troubleshoots by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues for root cause analysis.
• Helping the business to cost-effectively implement technology improvements and solutions
• Accomplishes engineering and organizational mission by completing related goals as needed.
• Demonstrates strong integrity, dependability, attention to detail, and an interest in learning.
