Job summary

Aquent Studios is seeking a skilled frontend engineer to contribute to a customer-facing web app. You’ll work in a modern micro frontend architecture with microservices, collaborating across teams to deliver cohesive features and a high-quality product.

You will write and test code, optimize performance, and help resolve complex issues while aligning with agile processes and enterprise standards.

Qualifications

• Proficient in ReactJS/TypeScript and building modular UI components in a micro frontend setup.
• Strong experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and secure API consumption/exposure across frontend/backend.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering leads to analyze requirements, design specs, and implement features.
• Coordinate across teams to ensure cohesive product delivery.
• Write, test, and deploy high-quality code for moderately complex functionality.
• Drive performance, reliability, and scalability improvements.
• Lead resolution of medium to difficult technical challenges.
• Ensure rapid production issue resolution within SLAs.

About the Role

As a key contributor, you will be instrumental in supporting and enhancing a dynamic web application. You'll work within a modern micro frontend architecture, backed by robust microservices and advanced cloud services. What You'll Do

• Collaborate closely with engineering and tech leads to analyze requirements, prepare design specifications, and implement new features.
• Integrate new functionalities seamlessly and coordinate development efforts across various teams to ensure cohesive product delivery.
• Write, test, and deploy high-quality code to deliver moderately complex functionality for key product areas, directly impacting user experience.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, driving enhancements in system performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Lead the resolution of medium to difficult technical challenges, applying your expertise to complex problems and fostering innovative solutions.
• Drive the swift resolution of production issues, ensuring strict adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and maintaining operational excellence.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong proficiency in ReactJS and TypeScript, with proven experience building modular, reusable UI components within a micro frontend architecture.
• Solid understanding and hands‑on experience with NodeJS for building robust RESTful APIs and backend services in a microservices environment.
• Experience with code repositories like GitHub and implementing efficient CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Github Actions.
• Proven ability to securely consume and expose APIs across both frontend and backend systems, ensuring data integrity and security.
• Hands‑on experience deploying and managing applications using cloud services, including ECS Fargate, Dynamo, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, and Terraform.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL databases, including schema design, querying, and optimization.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks for unit and integration testing, such as RTL, JUnit, and Bruno, ensuring code quality and reliability.
• Experience with automated testing tools like Playwright to streamline testing processes and maintain application stability.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Datadog or CloudWatch for proactive issue detection and performance analysis.
• Experience working effectively within Agile methodologies, utilizing tools like Jira and Confluence for project management and team collaboration.
