Aquent Talent is seeking an Experience Engineer to help build high-quality digital experiences for millions of users in the financial services space. You will develop enterprise web experiences with Next.js, React, and TypeScript, translating designs into accessible, responsive interfaces.

This temporary, hourly role offers collaboration with designers and engineers in an Agile environment, contributing to a scalable design system, CMS integrations, performance optimization, and governance.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain enterprise web experiences using modern frameworks like NextJS, React, TypeScript, and headless CMS platforms such as Sanity.
• Build reusable, scalable, and maintainable UI components that support a robust digital design system.
• Translate UX and visual designs into responsive, accessible, and performant web experiences across various devices and browsers.
• Partner closely with designers, content authors, business analysts, and fellow engineers to deliver high-quality digital solutions.
• Configure and support content models, schemas, and within headless CMS environments.
• Develop integrations with APIs and dynamic content sources to power personalized customer experiences.
• Optimize websites for performance, accessibility standards (WCAG), SEO, and responsive behavior.
• Actively participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and Agile team ceremonies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, styling issues, content rendering issues, and performance concerns.
• Adhere to established development standards, testing practices, accessibility requirements, and governance processes.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, implementation guidance, and support materials.
• Continuously learn emerging technologies and contribute innovative ideas that enhance team effectiveness and digital experiences.
• Collaborate across marketing, creative, technology, and engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions.

You enjoy learning new technologies, collaborating with others, and transforming business and design requirements into intuitive digital experiences. You bring a strong foundation in front-end development, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and modern web development principles. You are passionate about building accessible, responsive, and maintainable applications, continuously improving your skills, and following engineering standards and best practices.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Proficient, hands-on experience building modern web applications using React and/or NextJS.
• Experience developing reusable components and maintainable front-end code.
• Experience integrating headless CMS platforms (like Sanity) to populate frontend environments.
• Familiarity with TypeScript and modern JavaScript development patterns.
• Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and semantic HTML practices.
• Basic understanding of headless CMS platforms and content-driven web architectures.
• Exposure to API integrations using REST and/or GraphQL.
• Experience using Git for source control and collaborative development workflows.
• Familiarity with debugging tools, browser developer tools, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Understanding of web performance fundamentals and optimization best practices.
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams.
• Lifelong learning mindset and ability to grasp complex technical concepts.
• Strong analytical skills to translate business and system requirements into technical solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience with ReactJS and NextJS.
• Experience working with Sanity CMS, including content modeling, schemas, Studio configuration, or GROQ queries.
• Experience building applications with TypeScript.
• Experience with Tailwind CSS and component-based design systems.
• Familiarity with reusable pattern libraries and enterprise design systems.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Mabl, Jest/Vitest, or similar development and testing tools.
• Experience working in regulated industries such as financial services.
• Demonstrated passion for learning new technologies and modern web development practices.
