Job summary

Horizontal Talent is seeking an experienced front-end/full-stack engineer to join a high-impact team powering a leading North American e-commerce platform. The hybrid role involves building scalable web and mobile experiences using React, Next.js, TypeScript, GraphQL, and Node.js.

You will design robust UI components, integrate APIs, and contribute to automated testing and deployment workflows, collaborating closely with product, design, and cloud teams in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of experience in front-end or full-stack development.
• Proficient with React, React Native, Next.js, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), and Node.js.
• Experience designing, consuming, and supporting GraphQL APIs.
• Experience building component libraries or design systems with Storybook.
• Experience creating automated tests with Playwright, Jest, and React Testing Library.
• Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and workflow automation with GitHub Actions.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with product and business partners.
• Experience with Git/GitHub, Jira, and Unix/Linux command-line environments.
• Understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards, performance, and API-driven architecture.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to engineering discussions around performance, accessibility, security, usability, and scalable architecture.
