Job summary

Akkodis is seeking a Software Developer II in Rochester, NY with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. You will write well-structured, maintainable code across service layers, APIs, and data models, participate in design discussions, lead debugging sessions, and help balance short-term delivery with long-term maintainability.

You’ll also provide guidance to newer team members, uphold coding standards, and contribute meaningfully to Agile planning and reviews, while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is required.
• Minimum three years related experience.
• Front end and back end development experience required.
• Solid experience with SQL databases and exposure to MongoDB.
• Experience in Agile development environments with Azure DevOps.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests; knowledge of CI/CD and Git workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop moderately complex features with minimal oversight
• Maintain and enhance legacy systems and services
• Contribute to new development in Node.js and modern .NET
• Work across both frontend and backend code, as needed
• Collaborate with QA and product teams to validate and refine functionality
• Participate in architectural discussions and team improvement efforts
• Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to peers
• Support production deployments and resolve technical issues
