Job summary

Synechron is seeking an experienced Full Stack Python Developer to join our Digital Engineering team in Charlotte, NC. You will design, develop, and deploy scalable enterprise applications across Banking, Financial Services, and Capital Markets domains.

The role requires 8+ years of software development with 5+ years in Python, strong frontend and API/microservices expertise, and cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP). Collaborate across disciplines and contribute to architectural decisions.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of software development experience with at least 5+ years of hands-on Python development.
  • Strong experience with Python frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, Django) and modern frontend tech.
  • Experience building RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud-native applications.
  • Proficiency in React, Angular, or Vue.js for responsive UI development.
  • Knowledge of OAuth2, SSO, JWT, and OpenID Connect for security.
  • Hands-on with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, DynamoDB).
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and DevOps practices; Agile SDLC experience.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using Python and modern frontend technologies.

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Python Developer to join our Digital Engineering team and support the development of modern, scalable, and high-performing enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Python, backend development, frontend frameworks, cloud technologies, API development, and microservices architecture.

This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing end-to-end software solutions that support business-critical applications across Banking, Financial Services, and Capital Markets domains. The successful candidate will collaborate with architects, product owners, DevOps engineers, and cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and cloud-native applications.

Additional Information

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with applicable laws, the expected base salary range for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $110K - $120K/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using Python and modern frontend technologies.
  • Build scalable REST APIs and microservices using Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
  • Develop responsive and interactive user interfaces using React.js, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Create reusable frontend components and maintain UI consistency across applications.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
  • Develop and optimize backend services, APIs, and database integrations.
  • Design and implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms.
  • Build cloud-native applications leveraging AWS, Azure, or GCP services.
  • Create unit, integration, and end-to-end test cases to ensure application quality.
  • Troubleshoot application issues and provide production support.
  • Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Develop CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment processes.
  • Participate in code reviews and enforce development best practices.
  • Work closely with DevOps teams to implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and application modernization initiatives.
  • Ensure applications adhere to security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and demos.
  • Mentor junior developers and promote engineering excellence across teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in software development with at least 5+ years of hands-on Python development.
  • Strong experience with Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
  • Expertise in frontend technologies including React.js, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs and Microservices.
  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience working with PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, or DynamoDB.
  • Experience working with Docker and containerized environments.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and cloud-native application deployment.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
  • Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience implementing authentication frameworks such as OAuth2, SSO, JWT, and OpenID Connect.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred, but not required

  • Experience with Generative AI, Machine Learning, or AI-powered applications.
  • Knowledge of LangChain, OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, or Azure OpenAI.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and Kafka.
  • Experience with GraphQL APIs.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Cloud certifications in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow.
  • Exposure to financial services, capital markets, or regulatory systems.
