Job summary

Base is building a next-generation power platform that keeps lights on and bills clear during outages, through distributed batteries and real-time analytics. We are hiring a full-stack engineer to power our expansion and deliver a product customers love.

You will own the member journey from first website visit to outage monitoring in the app, crafting accurate pricing, activation flows, and live telemetry-driven experiences. Expect collaboration across design, growth, and operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years building production software in product or full-stack roles.
• Experience designing architecture for complex web applications.
• Track record of owning products or platforms from concept through launch.
• Strong product judgment turning ambiguous ideas into shipped, useful products.
• Ability to work across the stack and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ready to work with intensity and urgency, and to hold a high bar for your own output.

Responsibilities

• Own the member journey end to end, from the first website visit to the moment a member checks the app during an outage
• Build the discovery and checkout experience: accurate plans and pricing for every address, across products and markets
• Build the activation experience: photo submission, a live status tracker and internal tools that keep members, operators, utilities, and install crews on the same page
• Turn live battery telemetry into clear in-app experiences, including real-time outage status and battery performance
• Ship across the full stack (database, API and UI) and define the metrics that tell us whether it worked
• Partner with design, Growth, deployments and member support, and use support data to build self-serve into the product
