Base Power is hiring a forward deployed engineer to build software that supports nationwide deployment of home battery systems. You’ll embed with launch teams to learn operations, then craft tools that help with ordering, documentation, and grid-backed decisions.

You’ll collaborate across Growth, Deployments, and Utilities to turn field insights into scalable software. Embrace a startup pace, adapt quickly, and own meaningful impact from day one.

Qualifications

• 2+ years building production software in product or full-stack roles.
• Strong frontend and full-stack skills across modern web apps, APIs, data models, and stateful UX.
• Strong product judgment and a track record of turning ambiguous ideas into shipped products.
• Experience in 0-to-1 or fast-moving environments where user needs and success metrics evolve.
• Experience using product analytics, experimentation, and data to guide decisions.

Responsibilities

• Learn how work gets done by collaborating with teams or partners.
• Help decide which problems matter most and what to build or improve.
• Build end-to-end software: integrations, internal tools, workflows, data pipelines, partner-facing products.
• Ship prototypes quickly and harden them for broader use by other teams.
• Work with utility partners on grid constraints and data to inform deployment decisions.
• Launch new states by setting up partner integrations, workflows, and data for each market.
