Job summary

Fidelity Investments Inc. is seeking a software engineer to contribute to the Workplace Consulting Digital Solution Technology team. You will work across Angular and Java, with cloud deployments and automated testing to deliver high-value client applications.

You will collaborate with leaders to set standards, influence strategy, and prioritize work, while embracing a modern tech stack and on-site operating model.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of software engineering development experience.
• Hands-on experience with Angular 18+, Java, databases (Azure SQL, MySQL).
• Experience with Git, REST, and build tools (Maven or Ant).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and CI/CD workflows.
• Experience with automated testing and TDD.

The Skills You Bring

Required Skills:

• Minimum of 2 years of software engineering development experience.
• Proven hands-on experience working with Angular 18 plus, Java, Azure SQL, MySQL, Maven or Ant, Git, REST
• Cloud - AWS, Azure (preferred)
• Experience with the Agile (Scrum or Kanban) methodology, Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery (CICD)
• Experience with writing automated tests (unit, integration, etc.), and experience following Test Driven Development (TDD)

Any combination of the following is a plus :

• Experience on Python scripting
• Experience or exposure to Docker and other cloud technologies like EC2, S3, VPCs, CloudFront, on-demand instances
• Experience on Automation Tools/Frameworks (JUNIT, Jasmine, Playwright, Selenium, Protractor)
• Hands-on experience with the API Design and Development and Micro Services Architecture

• Daily activities will involve designing, development, automated testing, meeting with technology peers (including architecture) to work through technical designs, supporting other developers on the team with their work, and participating in Agile ceremonies (Daily Stand up, Backlog grooming, Retrospective meetings)
• Captures requirements and runs or participates in the systems design effort.
• Develop maintainable standard and scalable solutions by following the principles that are created by senior team members.
• Adhering to project timelines, addressing, and resolving technical issues.
• Ensuring code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing are completed efficiently and effectively.
• Fosters teamwork/motivation and spirit of collaboration with project team and business and systems partners
• Drove end-to-end ownership of application cloud deployments, aligning delivery with TLM governance requirements.

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
