Job summary

PNC is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and support modern full-stack web applications. The role focuses on backend Java/Spring Boot and frontend Angular, delivering scalable APIs and intuitive user experiences.

The ideal candidate collaborates with product owners, architects, designers, and engineers, contributing across the full software development lifecycle in an Agile, in-office setting.

Qualifications

• Professional experience developing enterprise web applications.
• Experience with Java and object-oriented programming principles.
• Experience developing applications using Spring Boot and related frameworks.
• Experience building front-end applications using Angular.
• Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs.
• Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.
• Experience using Git-based source control systems.
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with UI component libraries such as Angular Material, PrimeNG, or similar frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack web applications using Java and Angular.
• Build and enhance responsive, user-friendly interfaces that deliver an exceptional user experience.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using Spring Boot.
• Translate business and functional requirements into technical solutions.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement modern, accessible, and responsive user interfaces.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following engineering best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, performance issues, and production incidents.
• Create and execute unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure application quality.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile development environment.
• Support application deployments and participate in ongoing operational support activities.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and solution architecture reviews.
