Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking an experienced software engineer to design, build, test, and maintain modern Java-based applications with React front-ends. You will integrate AI capabilities, REST APIs, and scalable microservices while aligning with DevOps practices and security governance.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of relevant experience, cloud familiarity (Azure/AWS/GCP), and a passion for learning emerging technologies to deliver customer-focused solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in software development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain modern software applications using Java, Spring Boot, React, and TypeScript.
• Build and integrate AI-powered capabilities including LLMs, RAG, and intelligent AI agents.
• Develop and support REST APIs, microservices, and cloud-native apps following best practices.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Participate in all phases of the SDLC, including design, coding, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Contribute to AI experiments and production implementations delivering business value.
• Implement secure coding standards and comply with risk, security, and AI governance.
• Support CI/CD, DevSecOps, automated testing, monitoring, and cloud operations.
