Job summary

Wyetech, LLC seeks a Software Engineer 2 to join a small development team supporting the COUNTERPUNCH mission. The role is ideal for a strong Full Stack Developer with significant Front End experience, especially in ReactJS, Node.js, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.

The SWE2 will develop, maintain, and optimize mission-focused web apps and user interfaces in an Agile environment, translating wireframes and prototypes into responsive, scalable, accessible solutions for government leadership and end

Qualifications

• Must have strong Full Stack development with emphasis on Front End.
• Experience with ReactJS, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3.
• Experience building scalable server-side apps and microservices with Node.js/Express.js.
• Ability to design high-performance web visualizations for large datasets.
• Experience with ESLint/Jest and automated JavaScript testing.
• Ability to translate wireframes and user stories into reusable Front End code.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency with GitLab for CI/CD and project mgmt.
• Knowledge of Section 508 / WCAG accessibility.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize UIs using Node.js, ReactJS, HTML5, CSS3.
• Create responsive, scalable web applications meeting mission requirements.
• Translate wireframes and stories into functional interfaces.
• Collaborate with customers and leadership to gather requirements.
• Ensure UI consistency with design principles and reusable components.
• Perform testing across approved browsers and debug issues.
• Improve performance and user experience; stay current with trends.
• Contribute to code reviews and uphold high-quality code.
