Job summary

ADT is seeking a hands-on Engineer III who acts as a Technical Lead to shape the technical roadmap of our digital ecosystem. You will architect within guardrails and code across Salesforce integrations, frontend architecture, and deployment pipelines, setting standards for TDD, automation, and AI adoption.

You will lead a cross-functional engineering pod across Salesforce CRM, CPQ, Billing, MuleSoft, and modern CMS tools, actively coding to elevate engineering quality and accelerate delivery

Qualifications

• 7 years of object-oriented software development experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce CRM.
• Knowledge of CPQ and billing integrations is preferred.
• Strong understanding of MuleSoft APIs and integration patterns.
• Leadership experience leading a pod of engineers and driving design decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical solution design following architecture hand-offs across Salesforce CRM, CPQ, MuleSoft, and other integrations.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and drive cross-platform patterns.
• Actively contribute to development across Salesforce CRM, CPQ/RCA, and MuleSoft APIs; leverage AI-assisted coding tools.
• Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar within the team.
• Champion test-driven development with automated unit and integration tests and AI-assisted test generation.

You are responsible for the technical roadmap of our digital ecosystem, ensuring that our Salesforce integrations, frontend architecture, and deployment pipelines are world‑class. You establish the standards for TDD (Test-Driven Development), automation, and AI adoption.

You’ll play a critical role in advancing ADT’s Sales and Service Platform, leading technical solution design and guiding a cross‑functional engineering pod across platforms like Salesforce CRM, CPQ, Billing, MuleSoft, and modern CMS tools. This is not a pure oversight role—you are expected to actively code, design, and elevate engineering quality standards, leveraging AI to accelerate development and testing.

What You’ll Do

Technical Leadership & Solution Design

• Own end‑to‑end technical solution design following architecture hand-offs across:

  • Salesforce CRM (Sales, Service)

  • CPQ

  • MuleSoft APIs

  • Other integrations

• Translate business and product requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions

• Drive integration patterns across platforms

Hands‑On Development

• Actively contribute to development across:

  • Salesforce CRM (Sales, Service)

  • CPQ / RCA

  • MuleSoft APIs

• Leverage AI-assisted coding tools (e.g. Cursor) to accelerate delivery and improve code quality

Pod‑Level Technical Leadership

• Serve as the technical leader within a pod of engineers

• Guide design decisions, code quality, and engineering best practices

• Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar across the team

Quality Ownership (Test-Driven Development Model)

• Champion a culture where engineers own quality end‑to‑end

• Ensure all code includes:

  • Automated unit tests

  • Integration tests where applicable

• Leverage AI for test generation, validation, and coverage improvements

What You Bring

Core Technical Skills

• 7 years ofObject-Oriented software development experience

• 5+ years of strong hands‑on experience with Salesforce CRM.

• Knowledge of CPQ

• Solid understanding of MuleSoft APIs and integration patterns

Preferred Experience

• Development experience with Salesforce CPQ or RCA, including Billing integration.

• Development experience with Mulesoft

• Preferred Copado experience

Leadership & Mindset

• Proven ability to lead technical design within a pod structure

• Strong communicator who can bridge architecture, product, and engineering

• Deep sense of ownership and accountability for outcomes—not just output

AI-Enabled Engineering

• Experience or strong interest in using AI tools for:

  • Code generation and refactoring

  • Test automation
