Job summary

ADT is seeking a hands-on Engineer III who acts as Technical Lead to architect within guardrails and code across Salesforce integrations, frontend architecture, and deployment pipelines.

You will drive the technical roadmap for the Sales and Service Platform, mentor engineers, champion TDD and AI-assisted development, and push quality across the pod. This role combines design, coding, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver world-class digital experiences for customers.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Object-Oriented software development experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce CRM experience.
• Knowledge of CPQ and billing integrations is preferred.
• Solid understanding of MuleSoft APIs and integration patterns.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical solution design and architecture hand-offs across Salesforce CRM, CPQ, and MuleSoft.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions.
• Actively contribute to hands-on development across Salesforce, CPQ, and MuleSoft APIs.
• Lead a pod of engineers and raise the technical bar through design reviews and mentoring.
• Champion Test-Driven Development, automated tests, and AI-assisted test generation.

We are looking for a hands‑on Engineer III who operates as Technical Lead—someone who can both architect within guardrails and execute in code. You are responsible for the technical roadmap of our digital ecosystem, ensuring that our Salesforce integrations, frontend architecture, and deployment pipelines are world‑class. You establish the standards for TDD (Test‑Driven Development), automation, and AI adoption.

You’ll play a critical role in advancing ADT’s Sales and Service Platform, leading technical solution design and guiding a cross‑functional engineering pod across platforms like Salesforce CRM, CPQ, Billing, MuleSoft, and modern CMS tools. This is not a pure oversight role—you are expected to actively code, design, and elevate engineering quality standards, leveraging AI to accelerate development and testing.

What You’ll Do

Technical Leadership & Solution Design

• Own end‑to‑end technical solution design following architecture hand‑offs across:
  • Salesforce CRM (Sales, Service)
  • CPQ
  • MuleSoft APIs
  • Other integrations
• Translate business and product requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions
• Drive integration patterns across platforms

Hands‑On Development

• Actively contribute to development across:
  • Salesforce CRM (Sales, Service)
  • CPQ / RCA
  • MuleSoft APIs
• Leverage AI‑assisted coding tools (e.g. Cursor) to accelerate delivery and improve code quality

Pod‑Level Technical Leadership

• Serve as the technical leader within a pod of engineers
• Guide design decisions, code quality, and engineering best practices
• Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar across the team

Quality Ownership (Test‑Driven Development Model)

• Champion a culture where engineers own quality end‑to‑end
• Ensure all code includes:
  • Automated unit tests
  • Integration tests where applicable
• Leverage AI for test generation, validation, and coverage improvements

Performance, Analytics & Optimization

What You Bring

Core Technical Skills

• 7 years of Object‑Oriented software development experience
• 5+ years of strong hands‑on experience with Salesforce CRM.
• Knowledge of CPQ
• Solid understanding of MuleSoft APIs and integration patterns

Preferred Experience

• Development experience with Salesforce CPQ or RCA, including Billing integration.
• Development experience with Mulesoft
• Preferred Copado experience

Leadership & Mindset

• Proven ability to lead technical design within a pod structure
• Strong communicator who can bridge architecture, product, and engineering
• Deep sense of ownership and accountability for outcomes—not just output

AI‑Enabled Engineering

• Experience or strong interest in using AI tools for:
  • Code generation and refactoring
  • Test automation
  • Developer productivity optimization
