Prometheum is hiring a Software Engineer 2 (Full-Stack) for a fully remote role. You’ll own features end‑to‑end, split work for the team, and guide delivery from design to release, in collaboration with Product and senior engineers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering delivering production software.
• Strong TS/JS with deep Node.js and React knowledge.
• Track record delivering a substantial feature from ambiguous requirements to release.
• Comfort with relational databases, SQL, and data modeling.
• Experience with microservices, Docker, and AWS.
• Automated testing as a habit.
• Hands-on with AI coding assistants and discerning their outputs.
• Clear English communication for a fully remote team.
• Able to reason through disagreements with evidence and adapt views.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. or Canada.
• Able to pass a comprehensive background check.

Responsibilities

• Own epics end to end after handoff from Product, from story writing to delivery and release.
• Build across TS/Node back end and React front end, tackling large, complex problems.
• Report progress regularly and raise risks before surprises.
• Partner with Product Manager and senior engineers on design decisions.
• Use AI coding tools as a default part of workflow, review outputs rigorously.
• Lead company-wide demos of delivered epics.
• Review teammates' code to catch design concerns and test gaps.
• Participate in all scrum ceremonies: refinement, sprint planning, standups, demos, retro.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and UX throughout delivery.
• Investigate and resolve QA, UAT, and production issues.
