Job summary

SOC LLC is seeking a motivated Junior Full Stack Developer to work on-site in the McLean, Virginia area. The role covers designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining modern software applications across the full technology stack in a mission-driven environment.

You will design and develop full stack apps with React on the frontend and Java, Python, Go, SQL, or C++ on the backend, deployed on AWS, with Infrastructure as Code and container orchestration to ensure secure, scalable, and reliable

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI Federal or DoD security clearance with CI polygraph.
• Active DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (e.g., Security+).
• Minimum 3 years UI/UX experience with React.
• Minimum 3 years back-end development with Java, Python, Go, SQL, or C++, and front-end languages like JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, or CSS.
• Minimum 2 years AWS services and cloud-native patterns (ECS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, EC2, RDS, DynamoDB, IAM).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK, Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, and container orchestration.
• Database expertise in MongoDB and relational DBs (PostgreSQL/Oracle/MySQL).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications using modern front-end and back-end technologies.
• Develop intuitive user interfaces using frameworks such as React.
• Build and maintain back-end services, APIs, and microservices using Java, Python, Go, SQL, or C++.
• Leverage AWS cloud services to design scalable, cloud-native architectures.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code with CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
• Develop and deploy containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS.
• Design, manage, and optimize databases including MongoDB and relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL).
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across the stack.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Apply best practices for security, performance, and maintainability.
