Job summary

Roadie, a UPS company, is expanding its driver-focused web applications and platform services. This Full Stack Software Engineer role involves building end-to-end features, APIs, and internal tools with a strong emphasis on scalability, reliability, and performance.

You’ll collaborate across Engineering, Product, and Operations to solve complex logistics challenges, deliver high-impact features, and contribute to architecture decisions while writing high-quality, maintainable code.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience shipping production applications.
• Experience building scalable systems and APIs in production environments.
• Proficiency in at least one backend language such as Go, Ruby, Java, C#, or Python.
• Experience with a modern frontend framework, ideally React.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills; able to communicate across teams.
• Ownership mindset with the ability to learn new technologies quickly.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and test full-stack features for the driver experience.
• Develop APIs and services powering RoadieXD, geospatial features, and other platform areas.
• Build internal and customer-facing tools in React to help operations scale.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Operations to deliver high-impact features.
• Contribute to architecture decisions to improve scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Write clean, well-tested code supported by automated tests and reviews.
• Identify and improve performance and maintainability of existing systems.
