Job summary

Salt is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to scale backend services, APIs, and real-time processing for AI-powered products in Sunnyvale. You will collaborate with engineering, AI, infrastructure, and product teams to build scalable, high-performance systems from the ground up.

You’ll work with Go, Python, and/or C++, and develop product features using TypeScript and React while leveraging cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, and AWS.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Go, Python, or C++.
• Experience building scalable backend systems and APIs.
• Experience with distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, or real-time systems.
• Kubernetes and/or AWS experience.
• Strong systems, performance, and reliability fundamentals.
• Startup or scale-up experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale backend services, APIs, and distributed systems
• Develop product features using TypeScript and React
• Work with Go, Python, and/or C++
• Build systems supporting real-time data and AI-powered applications
• Contribute to AI and computer vision-related product capabilities
• Work with cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, and AWS
• Improve system performance, scalability, reliability, and observability
• Take ownership of projects from technical design through production
