Job summary

InsurQuote is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to partner with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver a scalable web application. The role spans frontend and backend development with a focus on intuitive user experiences, reusable UI components, and robust APIs.

You will shape the platform from user interaction to backend processing, ensuring performance, accessibility, and maintainability across the system, while adhering to security and quality practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, 5-6 years’ experience.
• Proven experience with React and TypeScript, including component composition and state management (e.g., React Query).
• Proficiency with Tailwind CSS and design systems, including building reusable, branded UI components.
• Experience developing backend services using Java (Spring) and GraphQL APIs.
• Hands-on experience with testing frameworks: Jest (unit and integration testing) and Playwright (end-to-end testing).
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub workflows and CI/CD practices.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to independently plan work, manage milestones, and deliver results.

Responsibilities

• Frontend development of responsive, accessible UIs with a multi-step upload and review workflow.
• Build and maintain a shared component library aligned with brand standards.
• Integrate frontend components with GraphQL APIs for data retrieval and mutations.
• Design and implement GraphQL schemas and backend integrations.
• Ensure secure authentication, authorization, and robust input validation.
• Develop automated tests (unit, integration, end-to-end) and contribute to CI/CD.
• Produce clear documentation for system setup and usage.
• Support observability with logging and metrics.
