Job summary

Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) seeks a skilled Full Stack Software Engineer to architect, implement, and test complex software for advanced RF exploitation and communications. You will collaborate with signal processing and hardware teams to deliver robust solutions that meet sponsor needs.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will document work in technical reports and informal memoranda, present results to sponsors, and participate in field evaluations to refine performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering, math, or related field.
• At least 5 years of full stack software development experience with Rust, C/C++, C#, Java, Python, JavaScript or TypeScript and web frameworks such as AngularJS or Vue.js.
• Able to work in small, multidisciplinary teams.
• Must be able to obtain a Secret level security clearance by start date; U.S. citizenship required.
• Willingness to travel to sponsor sites.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and test complex software solutions for advanced RF exploitation and communication applications.
• Collaborate with signal processing and communications engineers to meet sponsor needs.
• Document work in technical reports and memoranda; present results to sponsors and the technical community.
• Participate in field evaluations and iterate based on performance and requirements.
