Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Full Stack Engineer (Application Software) to build mission-critical tools that power Starship manufacturing and Starlink services. You will own end-to-end software features, prototype new ideas, and collaborate across teams to solve complex problems.

Applicants should have solid full-stack background, experience with Docker/Kubernetes, and a track record in design, testing, and deployment. This role requires on-site presence at SpaceX facilities in California.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or scientific discipline; OR 2+ years of professional experience building software in lieu of a degree
• 1+ years of experience in full stack development
• Experience with version control, continuous integration, and continuous delivery concepts
• Expertise in designing software systems
• Deep understanding of testing, CI, build, deployment & monitoring
• Experience with build systems and package management tools
• Experience with UNIX-like operating systems and related tools
• Experience with in-stream data processing and messaging systems
• Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Front-end experience in Angular, React, or similar JS framework
• Database experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar

Responsibilities

• Develop highly reliable software solutions that are used across SpaceX
• Create new applications that improve how SpaceX operates
• Build prototypes to prove out key design concepts and quantify constraints
• Own all aspects of software engineering and product development
• Deep dive into users’ problems to find efficient solutions
• Collaborate on architecture, design, and code reviews
