Job summary

NISC is seeking a motivated software engineer to join the Meter Data Management Software Development team. You will design, build, test, and maintain full-stack applications and data tooling to support analytics and measurement data for utilities.

Ideal candidates have 1+ years in software development, experience with Java/Scala, Angular/TypeScript, and AWS, plus CI/CD tooling. The hybrid role spawns at multiple office locations including Mandan, ND, with collaborative cross-functional work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a Computer Science-related field or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of software development experience.
• Experience in a full-stack, cloud-based environment.
• Proficiency with JavaScript frameworks (Angular/TypeScript).
• Proficiency in Java or Scala and OO programming.
• Experience with AWS cloud services (S3, Lambda, EC2, EMR, etc.).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack applications and data engineering solutions.
• Analyze and resolve complex technical issues across application and data platforms.
• Apply SDLC best practices to ensure quality, performance, and security of production code.
• Collaborate with Product, Data, UX, and Engineering teams to deliver business solutions.
• Participate in architectural and technical design discussions and set direction.
