Job summary

SpaceX in Bastrop, TX is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer for Internal Systems to own and develop mission-critical applications that support manufacturing, Starship and Starlink operations.

You will work across teams on architectures, build reliable software, and optimize performance in a fast-paced aerospace environment. Candidates need full-stack experience and modern tooling like Docker/Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or scientific discipline; OR 2+ years of professional software development experience in lieu of a degree
• Experience in full stack development
• Proficiency in Python, C#.NET, Go, Scala, Java, or similar OO language
• 1+ years building single-page web applications
• Experience with version control, CI/CD concepts
• Deep understanding of testing, CI, build, deployment & monitoring
• Expertise in profiling and improving application performance
• Experience with UNIX-like OS and tools like Terraform, Ansible, Puppet
• Experience with streaming data technologies (Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ)
• Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Database experience with PostgreSQL/SQL Server or similar

Responsibilities

• Develop highly reliable software solutions used across SpaceX
• Create new applications to improve SpaceX operations
• Build prototypes to validate design concepts and constraints
• Own all aspects of software engineering and product development
• Deep dive into user problems to craft efficient solutions
• Collaborate on architecture, design, and code reviews
