Job summary

Deloitte is seeking a Software Engineer II for its Government & Public Services GPS practice in the United States. You will join the Engineering as a Service team to deliver end-to-end software solutions and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet client needs.

This role emphasizes modular design, scalable architectures, and driving innovation. The position requires 2+ years in full-stack development with Java, Python, React, or Angular, and cloud or serverless experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or MIS.
• 2+ years of full-stack software development experience.
• 2+ years of experience with Modern Full Stack languages (Java, Python, React, Angular, etc.).
• Experience orchestrating in cloud and/or serverless environments.
• Experience with Relational and Non-relational DBs (Postgres, SQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, etc.).
• Ability to travel 15%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients you serve.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Assist development teams in delivering technical solutions using SDLC methodologies (Scrum/Agile).
• Design, develop, and enhance software systems and components with modern tools and frameworks.
• Analyze requirements, data usage, and performance to define designs and identify problems.
• Integrate existing software into new or modified systems and develop test procedures.
• Plan, track, and manage deliverables across short-term sprints and long-term deployments.
