Job summary

BBG Ventures, LLC is seeking a Full-Stack Engineer on a contract basis in Sunnyvale, CA. The role covers building both frontend and backend for an internal platform with cloud/AI integrations, and requires collaboration with non-technical stakeholders.

You will work in a hybrid setup (3 days in the office) and contribute to secure authentication, CI/CD, and scalable deployments. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of full-stack experience and strong Python/React skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience, with frontend and backend exposure.
• Solid Python skills; experience with FastAPI or a comparable async Python web framework.
• Solid React + TypeScript experience - shipped features in production.
• Familiarity with LLM/AI API integrations - agentic or tool‑calling patterns are a plus.
• Experience with a major cloud provider (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP considered).
• Working knowledge of OAuth 2.0 / OIDC authentication flows
• Ability to work with non-technical business stakeholders to clarify and shape requirements.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain frontend and backend of a new internal platform, from feature development through production.
• Build and maintain integrations between the platform and its underlying cloud and AI infrastructure.
• Partner with business teams to translate day-to-day workflows into working software, with some guidance from senior engineers.
• Implement secure authentication, access control, and data governance appropriate for sensitive business data.
• Contribute to and follow engineering best practices — testing, CI/CD, deployment, and observability.
• Iterate on features based on real usage and feedback, balancing speed with reliability.
