Job summary

Vantor is hiring a solution-driven Software Engineer to design and implement scalable software for data collection, analysis, and visualization on on-prem and cloud platforms. You will work onsite with U.S.

Government customers on geospatial datasets, collaborating with analysts to translate mission needs into robust solutions. The role requires active TS/SCI clearance, at least 5 years in software development, and experience with cloud-native stacks (AWS) plus NoSQL data stores.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and a current TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technology fields.
• Minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience in software development, including design, development, and implementation.
• Proficiency in a multiparadigm programming language (e.g., Java, Python, Go, Rust).
• Experience with data extraction, manipulation, visualization, and analysis of large datasets.
• Experience designing and supporting cloud-based architectures, including AWS and government environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement efficient, scalable software solutions for mission-critical applications.
• Engage in all software development lifecycle stages: planning, design, build, test, deployment, maintenance.
• Work with cloud stacks to extract, transform, and visualize geospatial-temporal data sets.
• Develop analytics/derivative products to help users extract meaningful knowledge.
• Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and DoD customers to understand requirements and propose solutions.
• Proactively troubleshoot issues and adapt to fast-paced, dynamic environments.
