Job summary

Qualcomm in San Diego is seeking a software engineer to contribute to the design and development of the next generation Qualcomm AI Stack SDKs and tools. You will apply your skills in UI/UX, programming, and debugging to create intuitive interfaces for AI toolchains.

Qualifications

General Summary

In this position you will be responsible for contributing to the software design and development of the next generation Qualcomm AI Stack SDKs and associated tools. You will have the opportunity to show your passion for software design and development with your analytical, design, programming, and debugging skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop intuitive, performant and rich user interfaces (IDE) for Qualcomm AI SW toolchains and applications.
• Interact with cross functional technology teams, understand requirements, and propose solutions.
• Troubleshoot applications, fix bugs, and make enhancements for existing IDE / UI components.
• Participate in code and design reviews.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years industry experience in building modern web based or desktop applications (ElectronJS or similar).
• Experience building various JavaScript graphs, plots, responsive and Realtime UI components.
• Experience with Bootstrap libraries, Javascript/Jquery, D3 (or similar data visualization library), Angular (or comparable JavaScript framework) and Python.
• Experience with web technologies/platforms like NodeJS, TypeScript.
• Experience working with SASS (or comparable CSS extensions).
• Familiarity working with and writing REST API web services.
• Good knowledge on various UI frameworks and design patterns.
• Some understanding of database application designs and implementation using MySQL, MongoDB or Sqlite.
• Familiarity with web UI testing frameworks like Spectron, Jasmine, Selenium, Karma etc., and an overall emphasis on writing and maintaining unit and integration tests.
• Some experience using IDEs such as Visual Studio Code, WebStorm, Eclipse, etc.
• Programming/debugging skills in more than one programming languages (C/C++, Java, Python, JavaScript).
• Experience working with containerization technologies such as Docker.
• Some experience working with deep learning models training / inference pipelines.
• Experience with one or more ML / AI frameworks (Tensorflow, Pytorch, OnnxRuntime, etc).
• Linux software development.
• Experience with Android or other embedded systems and developing tools for embedded platforms.
• Ability to collaborate across a globally diverse team and multiple interests.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits

$122,800.00 - $184,200.00

Pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Salary is only one component of total compensation. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants.
