Job summary

CivilGrid in Boston, MA is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join a small, fast-growing team. You will build end-to-end features with React, Node.js, and data pipelines, shaping a platform used by utilities and municipalities.

You’ll own components from database models to UI, tackle performance, and help monitor the system. We value autonomy, initiative, and clear communication as we scale our SaaS product with equity and flexible, remote-friendly options.

Qualifications

• 3+ years with JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js.
• 1+ year of React experience.
• Startup-ready: autonomous, fast-moving, proactive.
• Experience with SaaS products.
• Postgres experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with geospatial tech (PostGIS, GeoJSON).
• Conduct code reviews and give constructive feedback.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Degree in CS, Civil Eng, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design and build end-to-end features from database to UI using React.
• Tackle web/mobile apps, maps, data pipelines, and real-time collaboration.
• Profile and tune performance across the stack for reliability.
• Implement and maintain analytics, health monitoring, and logging.
